  • First look at Starch Moulding.

    NID are specialists in the design and manufacture of machinery for making Starch Moulded Confectionery - starch moulding being the process by which soft sugar confectionery is made - jellies, gummies, creams, marshmallows etc.        In fact the company HARIBO of Germany, the largest maker of gummy candy in the world standardise on NID machines and have 78 NID Moguls spread through their various plants in Germany, Austria, France, Denmark, England and Spain.

     

    This type of production requires the following facilities:-

     

    a) Kitchen, to weigh, mix, dissolve, cook the ingredients

     

    b) Transfer of cooked materials to the Mogul

     

    c) * Mogul Plant for depositing the cooked candy into starch moulds and later de-moulding

     

        * Starch Conditioning System, to remove from the moulding starch the moisture which

           migrates to it  when the candy is transformed from liquid to solid.

     

        * Dust Collector to control the escape of starch to atmosphere

     

        * Finishing machines such as Oiler and/or Sugar Sanding Machine

     

    d) Large quantity of wooden starch trays.

         Steel pallets to carry the stacked trays

     

    e) Transport system for pallets usually for fork-lift truck

     

    f) Area or room where trays are stacked while the product sets.

     

    g) Packaging Machines.
