NID Vortex Aeration Starch Conditioner

FEATURES INCLUDE:

Fluidised bed air-induced turbulence with large-volume airflow for intense, efficient aeration conditioning of starch.

Two steam heat exchangers, and two chilled water-cooled heat exchangers with air intakes provide an unrestricted large-volume, slow moving airflow for maximum intake heat exchange efficiency.

Speed adjustment of rotary starch metering valves and slat conveyors provide control of retention time.

Entirely separate Drying and Cooling operations with separate Dust Collectors and Suction Fans.

Dust Collectors with fully automatic reverse air-jet continuous sequential filter cleaning. Starch recovery conveyors in the base of each cabinet.

Individually designed continuous spiral starch conveyor systems, to suit the factory layout, carry starch from mogul to Vortex and return.

Throughput of 8000 to 22000 kg of starch per hour with moisture reduction from 3% to 4% based on incoming starch at 10% moisture.

 Starch Dust Collector

NID Airex Dust Collectors are designed for continuous operation over long periods and are of a compact design. The standard units are constructed of mild steel panels, all panels are stiffened and reinforced with flat steel plates.

The steel housing is provided with an explosion relief panel which has been subjected to a series of tests to ensure that the collector suffers minimum damage and remains intact. Flat pad shaped filter elements are built up in banks and tiers to match precisely the filter capacity required and to the most suitable configuration for the space available - a flexibility denied to more conventional, bulkier designs of dust collectors. There are no moving parts within the Airex filter elements, therefore the risk of mechanical failure is virtually eliminated. Access to the filter pads is gained through full width front access doors and all maintenance work is carried out on the clean air side of the filter unit.
